I couldn't pass up this post.  It has no political value for the blog, but.....

This is part of what I used to do for a living.  During my Vietnam tour we would get a request from the Grunts that we were supporting for a low level fly by.  On one of my runs for the 1st Bn, !st Marines I heard back that we blew down all of their Command Post antennas;  Oooops.  We definitely felt that we were indestructible then just as these videos show these folks are now.  The guy facing the Harrier coming down the runway requires huge cajones; it looks like the drop tank missed his gourd by about 3 feet.

The last one with the Blue Angel F/A-18 is the part of the show where the solo pilot does a sneak attack while the audience is watching the others.  He is supposed to stay sub-sonic but in this case the condensation that you see occurs just as the airplane is about to go past Mach 1, or beyond the Sound Barrier.  It looks like he hovers right there at about .999 Mach before he pulls up and decelerates.  This is from the show in front of Fishermen's Wharf in San Francisco Bay.

Pretty amazing stuff.
